Announcing Freed Kanner London & Millen LLC

Freed Kanner London & Millen LLC's principal partners were instrumental in taking their prior firm, Much Shelist Freed Denenberg Ament & Rubenstein, P.C., to the upper echelon of class action law firms.

The class action firm, located near Chicago in Bannockburn, Illinois, has established itself immediately as a prominent figure in national practice, serving as co-lead counsel in some of the largest antitrust class action cases and maintaining a broad national reputation as a leader in the antitrust field and class action litigation.

Freed Kanner London & Millen LLC was recently approved in February as one of four co-lead counsel representing U.S. purchasers of hydrogen peroxide in a price-fixing case against several hydrogen peroxide manufacturers in the industry,.

"Being appointed lead counsel is direct recognition by our peers and the courts that we have the wherewithal, the talent and the skills to bring these cases and to lead them to successful resolutions," said founding partner Steven A. Kanner. "Overnight, we have become the Midwest's preeminent class action antitrust firm."

Collectively, firm partners Steven A. Kanner, Michael J. Freed, William H. London and Douglas A. Millen have led some of the nation's largest antitrust class action cases, returning billions of dollars to businesses and individuals victimized by corporate fraud and price-fixing. Recently the firm was instrumental in the recovery of $531 million for purchasers of high fructose corn syrup, over $300 million for purchasers of rubber chemicals and over $300 million for purchasers of computer memory.

"FKLM fights for their clients' interests as if they were their own," said Joe Arhar, president of Polymerics, Inc. "To put it simply, these are superb lawyers. They have obtained outstanding recoveries for us and we consider FKLM to be a valuable asset to our business."

Representing victims of corporate fraud and price-fixing is FKLM's mission. "We consider it an honor to be able to pursue cases against those corporations that reject competition in favor of illegal price fixing and to recover damages for their victims," said Billy London. "It's invigorating to talk to an individual or small business owner and tell him that we were successful in recovering all or part of his losses. In some cases, it is the difference between a business succeeding or failing."

The founding partners see strong opportunities ahead, including an increase in the number of criminal prosecutions for antitrust conspiracies by the U.S. Department of Justice. "More companies are doing business in the United States, some bringing cultures of price fixing or cartels that violate our antitrust laws," said Michael Freed, a pioneer in antitrust class action litigation. Added Doug Millen, "We're also seeing growing global recognition of the benefits of competition. Competition not only results in lower prices but also spurs the development of innovative and safer products which benefit society as a whole."

FKLM attorneys have prosecuted price-fixing cases against corporate leaders in a diverse array of industries ranging from prescription drugs, corn syrup, infant formula and industrial gas to ocean shipping, vitamins, plastic tableware and semiconductors. Consistent with its entrepreneurial spirit, FKLM continues to carry the torch for those victimized by the illegal conduct of large multinational corporations.

Name Partners Freed, Kanner, London and Millen are joined by partners Michael E. Moskovitz and Robert J. Wozniak in addition to associates Donald L. Sawyer and Michael L. Silverman.
